Gentle Thunder in Bend offering musical prayers on her flutes for the "Nature of Gratitude" event. Hosted by authors Eric Alan and Tom Titus, this marks the 6th year of "Nature of Gratitude" events. Other amazing musical artists include Halie Loren; Beth Wood; and original writings by performance poet Jorah LaFluer.
Gratitude as an inherent quality in our lives that we can always access. This is the basis for The Nature of Gratitude, an annual community gathering exploring diverse aspects of gratitude through live music, spoken word, photography and more. Each gathering is an opportunity to raise awareness and proceeds for a different local grassroots cause.

With very special guests singer-songwriter-fiddler-guitarist extraordinaire Chris Kokesh and GRAMMY nominated multi-instrumentalist Gentle Thunder! Our host Beth Wood is an extraordinary award winning singer/songwriter, guitarist, pianist, poet and dear friend that Gentle Thunder recorded flute on the song Coyote Prayer from Beth's The Weather Inside album. It is always magical when we get to co-create together. Open to all. Donations are gratefully accepted but not required and will be divided among these wonderful artists. A long awaited follow up book to "My Son, My Son": A Guide to Healing after Death Loss or Suicide which is now in its 23rd printing.

During the writing of Voices of Healing and Hope: Conversations on Grief after Suicide, Iris Bolton interviewed over 25 suicide loss survivors. The book and the DVD which comes with it highlight the stories of a diverse population as they share how they dealt with eight of the most difficult aspects of grief: Why?, Guilt, Shame/Stigma, Anger, Pain, Fear, Depression, and Faith Questions. The courageous conversations of the interviewees can help others dealing with grief to find the promise of resilience in their own lives.

Gentle Thunder offering her spirit infused original music as part of The Traveling Day Society & Friends Soaring Spirits Gala Benefit Concert Celebration. She will be playing a vast array of Native American flutes and grand hammer dulcimer.
As an additional treat, local musician and composer Judy A. Rose, The Traveling Day Society and more honored musicians will perform.
The event is a benefit fundraiser for the Traveling Day Society who musically and prayerfully, through the Native American flute and drum, support those at the crossing point in their spirit journey from the physical world to the spirit world. They work closely with hospital spiritual care professionals and the hospice community.

"H2O Manifesto" - A theater, dance musical performance piece written, directed and choreographed by Krista Miller, co-written by Jason Gigliotti. Musical score by Gentle Thunder with additional composition by David Schanaker.
The production is about a Northern California farming family that must face some hard decisions when a water bottling company offers them a huge financial incentive to sell the rights to their spring. As they question the "value of the water" they realize that it runs far deeper than simple economics.
Brought to life by a stellar cast, Gentle Thunder will play live drums and Native American flutes at this performance with keyboard and vocals by Ariah Firefly at the Yreka Community Theater.

A 24 hour event (10 am Sat. - 10 am Sun.) where teams will walk for the entire 24 hour period to raise money in support of wellness and healing for Cancer. There will be many great local entertainers and inspirational support for the teams throughout the event.
